Aus-Pak 1st Test. Pakistan 2nd Inns, 53rd over. Truly brilliant with an old ball against the quality of Mo Yousef. Will never be replayed as it isn't a big test and there was no wicket, but had a batsman (on a half century) who will go down as an all time great, all at sea.

Hello stranger ! Nice to see ya. Name names.... who was good and who can make it? Of the NZ U-19 Team these were those that stood out: Michael Bracewell is the highest Kiwi run-getter in the ODI series against England in 2008 with 160 runs. His uncle is New Zealand legend John Bracewell. His brother Doug Bracewell is also in the U-19 team as a bowler. Family cricketing connections don't stop there. Tom Latham’s father, Rod, played four Test matches for NZ. But Boam is someone to watch. . .Boam has established himself as one of New Zealand’s leading young players. He made his first appearance for the Wellington Firebirds while still at college, winning a contract with the side while still a schoolboy, and his all-round skills have already had an impact at senior domestic level. He is an all-rounder and we relied on him heavily during the World Cup. |

We have to hope his bowling develops but he could be anything from a Flintoff to a Ben Hollioake. At worst he could be a Mark Ealham. He's already played three matches for Durham, but without making too much of a splash. |
