Australia are a team in crisis.
Not only have most the old guard gone, but there is a lack of confidence in their best player's leadership, no balance in their side and no real direction for the future. They don't have enough quality in their bowling line-up to play just 4 bowlers. They have the worst spin options in world cricket and the pace attack has no control. The 'Juggernought' batting order is cringeworthily weak with Haddin being asked to bat at 7, Mrs Cricket failing all over the shop, Ponting due to be sacked as captain and Katich being mediocre for an Aussie opener. The less said about Phil Hughes the better. I can only see a comfortable England win. |

Australia really are useless at the moment in the one day game. When does the penny drop? Totals less than 270 just don't cut the mustard in the modern game! 300 has to be the aim. What it means is they simply have to show more aggression, even if they lose a few wickets. Get it.
Get rid of the dawdlers and look for some new blood if the current crop don't get the message. |

Whilst having to accept each wicket is different to the next, I agree that the Aussie ODI outfit is for once lacking some bite in the batting. However I really like (despite the ODI T20 results of late) the bowling attack of Tait, Bolly, Nannes, Harris & Smith. |
