I'm not at all impressed or intimidated by this Australian 'unit'. There are far too many questions than answers throughout the team. Obviously the fact that it's the Ashes on Oz soil naturally makes them the favourites, but it certainly won't be a whitewash - this current Aus side isn't either polished enough or talented enough to do that.
For what it's worth Jamstains, my team: Strauss © Cook Trott KP Collingwood Bell Prior (wk) Swann Broad Anderson Finn It'd mean that Collingwood/KP/Trott/Bell etc would be required to bowl a few random overs occasionally. Not Trott's hugest fan, and I'd still have Bell over Morgan for the time being in the middle order. Finn is a bit of a wildcard, let's see how he gets on against Pakistan but he's ahead of the rest in my book. Sidebottom would probably be my first choice back-up (though he and Anderson are a liability together if it isn't swinging), having not seen loads of Shahzad yet. |

Australia really are useless at the moment in the one day game. When does the penny drop? Totals less than 270 just don't cut the mustard in the modern game! 300 has to be the aim. What it means is they simply have to show more aggression, even if they lose a few wickets. Get it.
Get rid of the dawdlers and look for some new blood if the current crop don't get the message. |

Whilst having to accept each wicket is different to the next, I agree that the Aussie ODI outfit is for once lacking some bite in the batting. However I really like (despite the ODI T20 results of late) the bowling attack of Tait, Bolly, Nannes, Harris & Smith. |
