Tino Best, still only 27, yesterday made his first appearance for the West Indies since 2005. With the Caribbean big guns finally taking affirmative action against the WICB in a contractual dispute, the XI that lined up against the against the Bangers resembled a minor county rather than a test match team. Amongst those present were the amusingly named skipper, Floyd Reifer, Tino Best and Darren Sammy.
In a rain affected day in St Vincent, the Bangers closed on 42 without loss after 18 impotent overs. |
