hey all
now it just may be me....that im used to him making 50+ not outs, but has mike "mr cricket" hussey been in terrible form of late? has he become complacent? not just in the world cup either, the tour of nz and even before that in the last couple matches of the ODI tri series in australia. what does anyone else think?

In my opinion he is suffering due to the good form of those above him in the order. Good for Aus, bad for Mike.

Ditto!

Chuck him into the openers slot and move Gilly down and the magical 500 runs in a ODI is simply a matter of course.

Seconded, although a year ago he'd have had Hayden's spot. Wouldn't you just love to have Gilly going in and closing an innings though ? Scary thought really !

Another pishpoor performance from Little Miss Cricket yesterday.

It's cos I've got her in my fantasy team I tell you.

Loving being the jinx for all Australians. Having said that, I've also got Ponting. Ho hum. (IMG:http://abcofcricket.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

It's not bad form. When he comes in during the last ten overs with a score already on the board then it's time to slog so naturally he's going to get out more often. If the top order fails and Huss comes in to save the day then you won't see him losing his wicket easily.

Batting as low as he does it will happen quite frequently. He has the 2 openers, Punter, Pup and Roy in front of him. If one of them fires and the others form some partnerships then he will be walking out in the last 15 or 10 overs a lot. He'll turn it around he just needs an opportunity and a slice of luck.

He should just do what Bevan did and play for his average.......................

It's funny how the public don't always rate players for the important stuff that happens in a team or for the 'unmeasurable' things that happen in a team sport. It's kind of like my arguement about 1 bowler setting up for another, it happens all the time, in everygame. There is no award or statistic etc, it just happens and often it is only the rest of the team that sees it.
